THE SPARKLER EDIT
“Bring on the sparkles—we’re just here for the glow.”
NAILING THE AFTER-DARK ARTISTRY
We honestly can’t get enough of sparkler shots. Whether it’s an intimate moment for the two of you or an all-guest tunnel, they bring a cinematic energy to your gallery that is hard to beat. While these frames look effortless, they require an expert "lowdown" to ensure the sparks fly safely and stylistically.

THE LOGISTICS: SETTING THE STAGE
The Math | How many do you need? One extra-long sparkler per person is the gold standard, but always bring a few spares to account for a "second take."
Location, Location | Space is your best friend. For a guest tunnel, ensure there is plenty of room on either side so you can pass through safely without any singed lace or hair.
The "Designated Sparkler" | Allocate the distribution and lighting logistics to a trustworthy bridal party member. You should be focused on the moment, not the matches.
LIGHT 'EM UP: THE TECHNIQUE
Go Long | Always buy the longest sparklers available. This gives us maximum burn time to get the perfect shot from multiple angles.
Synchronised Lighting | You need many hands and extra-long safety lighters. We recommend lighting sparklers in small bundles and handing them out quickly so the first isn't finished before the last is lit.
Know Your Limit | Typically, this is an evening shot. If a guest has enjoyed the champagne tower a little too much, it’s best they go sparklerless for this one. Safety first, art second.
The Clean-Up | Ensure buckets of water or sand are ready for disposal. It’s the unglamorous part that makes you a venue’s favourite couple.
TIMING THE GLO
Winter weddings offer the perfect early-evening window, while summer celebrations offer great shots with early evening light. We recommend doing the sparkler exit before the party hits its peak—excess alcohol and fireworks are rarely a winning combo!
STAYING IN THE LIGHT
Whether it’s a high-energy tunnel or a quiet, cinematic long exposure, we provide the creative direction to ensure your sparkler shots are legendary.
